Lucas ATF additive

I definatly give this product a . Symtoms - rough shifting from gears 1 to 2. I decided to give this product a try by going to Autozone (they sell all sorts of Lucas products now) and getting a bottle for 7.99 i believe. I added half a bottle and driving around the neighborhood the rough shifting was GONE! I was amazed that it solved my problem. So if anyone else out there with an automatic Maxima having simialar problems i highly recommend this product

@LudeAEM...

You might want to have a look at bobistheoilguy.com. I saw his test using Lucas. Not good I used some in my 3rd Gen, and thought it was doing something good until I saw what it's actually doing.

Be warned, bro. I'll never add any additives to my oil again! I'll just get the good stuff from the beginning...

Good luck to you...

I think what he is trying to say, is that you only "think" it is helping. Longterm you could be moving your gears with out enough oil as well as aireating your oil. Something to think about.

interesting, but I dont think that this was done correctly. first of all your oil system is under prussure. this test was under no pressure. IMO I would think that would make a difference in performance.

I myself love lucas stuff. I had a hole in my power steering on another car and I put lucas power steering in and I never had a problem again.

when I got my max it was using 1qt of oil a week. I added lucas oil stabilizer and have never had a leak ever again.

my trans was slipping in my max so I flushed the trannie and added lucas trans stabilizer and I it shifted beautilfully after that.

IMO lucas is the best stuff that money can buy.

Additives are rarely necessary if you choose good quality lubricants in the first place.
