If you're car hasn't seen synthetic religiously in the past, I wouldn't risk running an all-synthetic blend at this oil change.

why not? wouldn't it be better since it will be lubricating it a lot better?

mobil one synthetic is the best oil on the market. the reason lowmax says dont use it i am guessing is if you have any leaks, synthetic will usually leak faster than regular oil because it is generally thinner. corvettes and m3's specifically say on the oil cap 'use mobil one synthetic' because it is generally believed to be the best there is. i reccomend it.
