Tranny pan

I've been looking all around for a torque wrench that will do 6 inch-pound to make sure I don't mess up the tranny pan when installing the screws, but I haven't been successful... Do you guys usually use a torque wrench or not? I'm dropping the tranny pan for the first time and I want to make sure I do it right and I don't mess up anything...

Thanks

Always. 6 inch pounds is extremely light torque...one half of one foot-pound. The torque wrench will ensure you don't overtighten the bolts and will ensure uniform tightness. I have two torque wrenches I use for light-duty use like this...one is a 3/8" beam-type made by S-K and the other is a 3/8" clicker-type I recently bought from Sears. The clicker type is good as often-times you find yourself in tight quarters and you don't have to look at the scale to know when you hit the desired torque.

OK, so I guess I need to stop by Sears to get me one of those. Thanks!
