Yeah, you'll need like 10 of them to raise your octane a couple points.

It's all marketing

It's up there with the "fuel injector cleaner" in little bottles.

the biggest waste of money....just save up for some true racing octane gasoline....why don't you buy some off Francis? he has iirc a 5 gallon bottle of 76 racing 110 octane...run your car on fumes then throw in a few gallons of regular 91 octane and a gallon of 110....should bring you up to approx 94-95ish octane....dunno if your stock timing will be able to handle it...you should invest in a JWT or TS ECU which will advance the timing way over stock

as for your co-worker in the RSX...i'm sure he's suffering from the placebo effect...becuz these octane boosters don't do jack **** unless you pour in 10 of them...they only come in 350ml bottles which is NOWHERE near 1 gallon...if you did the math, it would take 10 bottles of 350ml octane boosters to reach approximately 1 gallon...and it still has to be mixed in with your current 91....

btw, you should get that ypipe on ASAP and run Tim with the RSX-S...he's bone stock and see what happens from there

I'm not familiar with the product. Doubt if it would do any damage, but probably -- as others have pointed out on this thread -- won't do very much in the way of boosting octane. The only small quantity of fluid that I know about that will really give gasoline an octane boost is TEL = T E T R A-Ethly Lead. Don't do that -- its illegal and will nullify you warranty on the cat converter.
