Finally switched

to synthetic, and will actually stick with it. Nothing but Mobil 1 syn will be in my engine for the rest of its life. I did notice that the car responds a little differently to throttle as it did with the thinner dino. Kinda spongy unless punched. Also consumes a slight, slight bit more fuel. I guess some of that can be related to the fact that the syn has the consistency of honey when the dino has that of water.

What kind of dino were you using? Mobil 1 is not a particularly thick 30w oil.

I was just using quaker state 5/30 dino. Is this normal to experience when first switching over?

I dobut u feel the extra power, most likely a placebo effect, but your engine sure feels the extra protection
