learned my lesson
about 4 months ago i did a full tranny flush and put valvoline high mileage tranny fluid in. well after that i experienced first-second slip(in my auto) when the fluid was cold. after the fluid was warm it worked fine. well i got fet up with the slipping so i decided to by the OEM stuff from nissan. i put it in today and it feels brand new so far. will have to try again tomorrow and hopefully still no slips

Did you buy the fluid from a dealership? How much was it?

Don't the 2000-2003 Maxima's require some special type of fluid for the 5 speed auto's? I wanted to do a tranny flush for my girls car but I was scared to use aftermarket fluid because I didn't know if it was spec'd to match Nissan's fluid/

well from my experience getting fluid at the dealer there is a big difference in fluid for the 4 speed auto and the 5 speed auto. i believe the 00-01 are 4 speed auto and 02-03 are 5 speed auto
