NGK stock platinum (OEM) is the best....If you don't mind changing out the plugs more often, I say get the NGK coppers...they are much cheaper if you can't afford the plats right now

stock heat range is 5

Just put in the NGK single plats... no need to mess with the hotter or colder plugs.

Iridium > platinum. on stock heat range, though.

If you do go iridium, get NGK for long life or Denso for performance.

I just replaced my OEM plugs (NGK Platinum) in my 98 at 75,000 miles. They looked a bit tired but the car ran flawlessly with them in there. The engine started and ran no differently with the new plugs vs the old. The fuel mileage is the same.. The NGK Platinums last a long time. There might be something better out there though.

i just got NGK platinum at advanced auto for like $2 each. Are these different plugs? The dealership wanted $11 a plug when I called them.

Those are the wrong plugs. The NGK OEM laser platinum plugs are PFR5G-11.
