Radiator Cap

How does everyone feel about this as a regular maintenance item? I'm coming up on 60k miles:

buy one and keep it in the glovebox, change it if needed? seems better than just changing a good one. my I30s got 90k and its on the original

I changed mine at 80K and it is definetly a good preventive maintainence investment.!!!

If you maintain your cooling system by flushing on a regular basis your cap should last almost forever. If it gives you peace of mind then by all means replace it. I haven't replaced mine on my 95 King Cab with 164,000 miles on it yet and don't see any need to at this point.

No need to change it if is not a problem. My 2002 SE has 90k on it and the cap is just fine.

just change it if the seal swells. It should be the same circumference as the metal circle above it.
