Mixing Motul and Mobil 1 oil

I can;t get to my Motul dealer and I'm low on oil....is Mobil 1 5-20 "synthetic" enough to mix. I heard some people say that Mobil wasn't fully synthetic.

Thanks

I'm not familiar with Motul (actually have never heard of it before reading this post).

In general, you are safe running your engine if your oil is only low by up to about 1 quart. If your are below that on the dip-stick, you should add additional oil to protect your engine. Mobil 1 is fully synthetic and can safely be added to any conventional or synthetic motor oil. While it is best to add the same weight, grade and brand of oil as that already in the crank-case -- in a pinch any good motor oil will do. So if the oil in your car is 5W20 weight, your first choice would be the same weight oil, but a different weight would be OK if you can't get the exact weight.
