Words of advice on AUTORx?
it was recently suggested to me that i use Auto RX in my transmission
i went to their website and it only talks about use when changing oil.
so first, can i use it in my tranny? especially to condition it for a flush?
second, is this a good thing to use in my motor when changing oil?
anyone have any positive/negative results? or is this another one of those mythical 5 dollar improvement fluids that you see all over autozone.
isnt SEAFOAM the competing brand?
is that better?

if you look on the left side of their web page there is a link to the transmission part of the site. and yes you can use it in your transmission.
i used it in mine before i flushed it and it made all the shifts much smoother.
from this test if you follow the directions it looks like it does its job quite well.
seafoam is usually used to remove carbon deposits from your intake, cleaning the fuel system and cleaning deposits from your combustion chamber. but it can be used in the crank case, i haven't really read anything about people doing it though.

seafoam also has a product that's specifically designed for transmissions as well called "seafoam tranny tune.." that's the stuff that the OP was asking about.. and i'm wondering the same thing as well.. which one is better?
