Gas rating

On the gas door for the 07 SL it says something about running premium for maximum performance. Is this worth the extra money? Has anyone tested reg vs prem and seen any results? Improved mileage maybe?

If you don't rely on the performance from the car, then using regular is "ok," but you will definitely notice a difference in performance...which is why it states to use Premium Fuel Only.

If you don't want to use 91/93 then at least use the mid-grade and not the lowest one.

Sorry i'm a noob

All my cars before college were 4 banger $1000 cars with $5000 in speaker equip, then I got out of college and bought an SUV since the woman wanted one, now I went and bought something that I actually wanted so I need to learn about it

I do know that you gas mileage will go down a little just for the gas not burning off completly and you may hear some pinging at WOT. I have a 04 SE and would never put anything in other than 93-94 oct. I get 18 miles in the city. Just my 2 cents
