Gear oil...Help!!!!

Whats up fellas i have a question, i have a 03 max lsd 6spd trans and it seems that the 3g crunch syndrome has attacked me....smh. I notice this only happens @ high rpms so i was wondering is there a gear oil that i can use to help eliminate this problem or do i have to burn my car and get something new? because this is really pissing me off...

Thanks in advance.

What are you running in it now (GL-4, GL-5, GL-4/5 ?) and how many miles has it been in there?

You haven't answered horse's question yet (how long??). But I'd guess the Pennzoil could be your problem.

1qt of Redline lightweight shockproof and fill the rest with MTL or MT-90. Mine loves it.

That's definitely the wrong fluid for your car. That stuff is made primarily for GM and Chrysler transmissions that require this specialized lubricant. You need a 75w-90 or 80w-90 GL-4 gear oil. Don't buy a GL-5 or any product listed as GL-4/GL-5. Get a pure GL-4 gear oil. I believe Pennzoil offers a GL-4 and I know for sure RedLine does. AMSOIL also offers this oil and I sell a lot of it to our members...see my post in the Group Deals section: http://forums.maxima.org/group-deals...ubricants.html . Pls drop me a PM along with your zip code or state of residence if you would like me to send you a quote. My guess is that if you get the correct oil in there, you will notice a big improvement in your shift quality. Good luck...
