Lucas Oil Stabalizer to help cure valve tap?

I have a very slight (barely audible) possible valve tap (only at idle rpm ranges) on my Maxima that only has 120k on it. A couple of people told me to add some my oil but was unsure.

What do you guys think?

UPDATE:
Updating from the grace. What I was told was Valve tap was my timing chain tensioner....
Changed it and problem solved

I get loud valve chatter when im close to needing an oil change.
I am pretty sure my 3.5 is burning oil (big suprise here).
I throw an extra quart in when I first start to hear the chatter. It goes away.
I change my oil every 3 thousand miles.
i have 150xxx miles on my 2003.

I dont know if the oil stabalizer would do anything. Try changing your oil or topping off to normal levels if youre low.

I used Lucus in my old Civic that was a bit noisy. The noise went down some after adding it, so I would give it a shot.

Ive got a 90' Range Rover that I tried Lucas in and I had to take it out immediately because it killed the power. Used it in my Work truck and I saw nothing change. I'm going to try that Poly TX7.

Why don't you try actually CHECKING the oil level and you'll know if it burns oil or not.....

I agree. My 02 starts pinging worse when I'm getting close to the 3K mark. I run Mobil Syth with a Mobil filter, Shell 93 ect and this is still my issue. I did run a bottle of TX7 this last oil change (last week), and although the valve noise is still present, I have seen my MPG jump 2.8 in city and 5mpg on open road. I am breaking 30MPG now, something I havent seen in 3 years.

Thanks for the advice!!!!

I too was experiencing the dreaded tapping noise
I didn't think oil could make such a difference.
And since an oil change was the cheapest solution; Last night, I changed my oil (ended up using a synthetic oil 5w-30).
The tapping noise is almost gone. Next time, I'm gonna use regular oil 5w-30.

i use that im my jeep every oil change, really helps a ton, valves are alot quieter and better oil pressure, spend the extra money on the synthetic stabilizer

the culprit to the problem with valve tapping is, not using oem Nissan oil Filters!...i've seen this happen to many VQ owners, the chain is tensioned by oil pressure...aftermarket filters dont have the correct pressure/thus causing the valve tap sindrome...if you'd ask me, i'd say..Nissan built the Motor, they would build the proper filter also...use OEM parts! they are worth the extra cost

I disagree. Parts are outsourced and I would be surprised if Nissan actually manufactures oil filters. For example, I have a honda vfr and I have used a purolator oil filter that is designed for a honda civic along with rotella t oil and 40k miles with zero issues. Same goes for Honda actually producing oil...just their name on the bottle.
