01 Nissan Maxima 20th AE - Switching to F/S oil

I just bought my max with 88k miles. I'm pretty sure the previous was using conventional oil. In my 350z I have always stuck with full synthetic. Would it be too late to switch over in the max? I'm afraid of oil leaks after the switch.

Thoughts?

It is not too late to switch. However, to minimize the risk of leaks I recommend you go online and my some AutoRx. It is not available in stores. This product is tremendous. It will rejuvenate the seals and clean the engine internals thoroughly. It is not corrosive. I used it going on 5 years ago before I made the switch and am now using it in my crankcase on a maintenance basis. It will further extend the OCI by about 20%.
