Motor oil

Hello everyone,

Does anyone here use 5w-20 in their 4th gen? And if not, my next question is if 0w-30 is ok.

Thankyou guys for any information on this.

Don't ever use anything below 30 weight oil. 5w-20 is like water. I use castrol edge synthetic 5w-40 and my car has 298,450 miles on it and it still runs like brand new. I would say use 5w-40 because are engine love the 40 weight oil and it will give u the best engine protection out of any oil.

5-30 is preferred, 10-30 is fine in warmer climates.

5-40 is not recommended and is actually to heavy at warmer temps.
Max97- your not doing your engine any good running that weight.

i've been running 5w40 for years and both my mileage and oil analyses are excellent.

I just use what's recommended 5w-30. Mobil 1 is what I prefer.

I always buy oil from Walmart. Those $25 5qt jugs are $35 at parts stores.
