I am wondering if Motor Treatment additive is different from fuel treatment? I have a error code rising from O2 sensors and wanted to clean the engine and all the stuff to see if I can get rid of the code. Someone recommended Lucas as a additive. Something like Lucas 10013 or 10020.

 

A fuel additive and motor treatment are not the same.

A fuel additive is used to treat fuel ... go figure.

A motor treatment is added to the crankcase oil.

The Lucas products you mentioned are fuel additives.

I've read on different forums that the Lucas products have some caustic properties that, over time, can result in damage to fuel system components. No real life evidence or experience with this result ... just what I've read.

I have used, still do as a matter of fact, Marvel Mystery Oil as a fuel additive/fuel system cleaner and conditioner with good results.

Lots of testimonials on that.
