Torque setting
Hey, I just wanted to be sure what 30 ft lbs on this Craftsman 1/2'' torque wrench would be? Is it the red line or blue? Reason I ask is because I don't like how when you reach 30 ft lbs with the handle digits on "0", the black handle is way off the 30 ft lbs starting line. Its where the blue line is. It's not mine so I don't have instructions for it. Thanks.

Thanks for your response Matt.. I just realized I had a reply in this thread. That sucks that its the blue one because, I was suppose to torque my alluminum BMW head to 30 ft lbs, but did it to 40 ft lbs and afterwords had to do 2, 90 degree angled turns according to the instructions . And these blocks are notorious for having the threads rip out of the block during reinstallation, and it still held! I would have redone it, but the bolts are stretch type and can only be used once. Motor has been running for 30 miles already since then, and things seem all right. Think I'll be okay?
I dont know what the hell I was thinking at the time.. I've worked with torque wrenches before and used them the correct way where the blue line is. Except the handle part lined up MUCH better to the torque mark then this wrench does. This torque wrench threw me off a bit, i dont know what happened to me.. Maybe the sun got to my head or something..
