Floor Jack????

I am in the market for a decent floor jack for working on my MAX. I am a little afraid of working in certain parts of the car, because of my crappy little autoparts store 2ton jack, and was looking for something better, but not too expensive. I saw that harbor freight sells 3ton racing jacks with a height of 3in to 14inches I believe, and it looks alot bigger than the jack I currently have. I was gonna tackle my rear struts this weekend, and the Jack I was looking at is only $60 on sale. Any suggestions??

use a jack to lift the car; use jack stands to work on the car. never use a jack as a jack stand. your "crappy" 2 ton is fine, as long as it works.
harbor freight jack stands are cheap and work.

Ok I will get the jack from harbor frieght, and see my only problem with my 2 ton jack is that I cant get the car up high enough to extent the jack stands without it looking to be unstable, and about to fall over.

The jack doesnt matter as long as it gets the car off the ground high enough to set up jack stands...so yeah get a good set of jack stands and a cheap jack shouldnt matter.

Ok thats great then, I will just get it in case I have to really get under the car, because I remember when my tranny died, I didnt have a decent jack to work with as far as jacking it up high enough, but thanks for everyones response.

The Craftsman 2ton aluminum floor jack crapped out on me 2 years after purchase. I'm not sure what caused the seal to leak on the ram.

I read other poor online reviews of the same floor jack.
