My newest tool...

The silver box was my roll around tool cart/ track toolbox. It's one flimsy **** and would collapse like a campaign-trail promise every time I tried to roll it in and out of the trailer. with no handles on it, it made moving it even more of a PITA.

the red pile of boxes was my old garage setup. It was completely full and busting out of its seams with tools, even when I stripped it down and put my frequently used stuff in the silver box to roll around the garage and track.

the sliders on the red box are about worn out from 5 years of hard everyday mechanic use. So I'm moving the red box to my race trailer and I picked up the Snap On box to take over in the garage. The silver one is going to work so I can lock up my work tools from the rest of the monkeys I have to work with.

Hardly!! it's new to me, but the box is 10 years old. I had just rolled it into place and hadn't even put a tool in it before that pic. it's buried in about 6" of crap now.

The drawer layout is way different than the old box, plus I did a lot of cleaning. I'm going to have to completely revamp everything in the box to get it all organized. I just wish it was easy to take out the drawers and move them around. instead, it's put all the sockets in a drawer... nope, don't like it below the wrenches.. take it allll out and put the sockets above the wrenches.. nope.. I liked it the other way better.. fawk.

I remember that game! I like the sockets in the top drawer, I use those organizer trays so they stand upright and that tends to fill out nicely. Then do pliers and cutters, etc stuff like that in the top drawer, then SAE wrenches, then metric wrenches, then its back to the deeper drawers like yours, have an air tool drawer (well the two, the top is more smaller tools/gasket cleaning disks/random drill bits/etc. huge pipe wrenches/etc. I forget what else. On the left I keep screw drivers and stuff (I forget what else...don't use the rest that often or its second nature i guess. Then on the right side I have a drawer for scribes and punches/calipers/etc. pry bar drawer, other stuff I forget, the BFH drawer, and so on.

Yeah, mine's not far from that. I put all my sockets and my most popular wrenches, pliers, and screwdrivers in the top drawer. Basically everything I use *all* the time goes in there. then I have separate drawers for the less frequently used wrenches, screwdrivers & punches & files, hammers & pullers, etc.

the smaller drawers on the left have my electrical tools in one, mics and measuring equipment, taps & dies & drill bits in another. forget what's in the rest of them.

I still need to poke around and see what I like. I just threw everything in there when I had 30 min last week and haven't haven'[t touched it since.
