Does this fitting require Teflon tape?

Installing a new dishwasher for my mom, never done this before but it seems fairly straight forward. My only question is this fitting in the picture - particularly the fill hose joint where the red rubber hose meets the brass angle fitting. Would this require Teflon? IIRC you're not supposed to use Teflon on brass to brass (the compression fittings at least) but what about this brass to something else?

That looks like it is a connection like a garden hose. If so, all you need is a rubber washer like a garden hose uses to get a good seal. There is no corrosion to be concerned about because the brass hose fitting is attaching to a nylon/plastic nib. No dielectric activity will occur.

Way late to the party, but those connections have rubber seals in them. No need for any tape or paste.
