I hope to be doing a swap and will need one of these adapter plates and a throttle body. Can you post a picture or two of it.

Here is a pic of a throttle body adapter plate and an iacv adapter plate. Judging by the size of the throat, this one was made for a 4th gen TB. I sell the TB adapter for $140 shipped, the iacv adapter for $85 shipped. Together they are $210 shipped.

is that a price for any adapter. I have a 00vi on a 4th gen. and is there an adapter for the 90mm tb

 

That is the price for an adapter made to accomodate the VQ30DE, DE-K or Pathfinder throttle bodies. I have never made one for a 90mm TB (VQ45?). I would have to charge more since it would require new tooling. But installing a 90mm TB onto a VQ30 or VQ35 is not a good idea. You won't benefit from a TB that large because you can't enlarge the throat of the 00VI intake manifold out to 90mm to match the TB. Even if you could, the VQ30 and VQ35 don't flow enough air to make it worthwhile, unless you're boosted.

is it possible to put a pathfinder tb on a stock vq30? i have a 1995 maxima with stock motor but looking to upgrade the tb.

 

It is possible, but by itself a larger TB won't result in any noticeable gains. It will give you better partial throttle response (more increase in airflow for a given change in butterfly plate angle), however, which gives an illusion of greater power.

 

Generally with a mevi does the 99 tb bolt directly to it...only reason i ask is because my car came with a mevi installed but also a spare throttle body so i was curious

 

No, the mevi will still require an adapter plate.

 

So the tb on my mevi is a max tb... ok thats what i wanted to know.. so imma need a 5th gen tb i guess...
