For Sale: Starter taken out of '99 Maxima. Will fit '95-'04. Non-working
I have a starter that I took out of my '99 Maxima with 125k miles on it. It's a Nissan Hitachi OEM starter part #: 23300-31U02, S114-801C
Excellent for someone on a budget!
It is a non-working starter. This starter is an excellent starter for a re-build or a core since it may probably only need a brush kit. Brush kits are very cheap and easy to replace from what I've read. I'm not sure though, so I cannot make any guarantees.
It has worked perfectly until the last month since it has been taken out. The symptoms were slow cranking at first. Eventually, it wouldn't crank at all. All I heard was a click, every time I turned the key. Since I do not have experience with re-building starters, I bought a re-built and have since installed it. This starter has never been opened up to see what the problem with it is.
I am asking $10 plus shipping on this one. It is available for pick near Baltimore, MD as well.
Since I'm not sure what parts will be required to re-build this, I am selling it as-is. Please check before buying if this will fit your vehicle.
