FS: VQ35 Swap Parts! 02 Maxima ECM, Immobilizer, Ignition w/ Key, eGas, & Cluster

Edit: SOLD!

-----------------

I found these pieces at my local junk yard when I was doing my own VQ35DE engine swap. I have a 5.5g Cluster, ECU & NATS w/key & ignition, Steering Wheel, Steering Column, egas pedal assembly with APP Sensor $400 OBO.

Everything came from the SAME car! This is very tough to find. The Immobilizer, Ignition, Key, and ECM all match up perfectly. Came out of a 2002 Nissan Maxima Automatic with 96K miles

Please contact me with zip code for a shipping quote. I will be able to remove the ignition switch from the steering column so you can save on shipping. Most swaps I've seen don't need to change steering columns. The price is the same even if you do want the steering wheel and column.

I don't know about that one. But if you are doing a 3.5 engine swap into a 4th gen, then it will be much easier to keep your stock steering column and just use all the other parts I have for sale. You don't even have to use the ignition key, but you do need the NATS and key along with ECU.

Haha yeah. I think so. These parts can be a little tricky to find all from the same car too. That's why I pulled all these parts from my local salvage yard when I was already pulling my swap parts from another Maxima. I couldn't believe they had two 5.5 gens in near perfect condition!

I have the vq35 from an 06. Will these parts still work? my 4th gen is a 5speed. Is that going to be a problem? Also, Will i still need to do a cable driven tb if i do the ECU and all that?

Might want to read up a little more on the swap.

If you are wanting to do a full ECU engine swap, then you will need all the parts I'm selling. Since it is an automatic ECU, the only two codes you will get are CAN line errors due to not having a TCM. But it will work just fine.

If you want to do a cable driven TB, you will need a different ECU. But going with the full ECU and all the wiring is the best type of swap. You will be able to take advantage of the CVVT. You can't do that if you want to use your 4th gen ECU and go cable driven.

Yes, the engine will run just fine though. That's what I was referring to. The CEL will come from the CAN line errors I mentioned due to not having a TCM.

Actually that is the way I have been running mine for the last two years. I miss the cruise though. I lost the #2 coil output from my 6MT ecu (measuring directly on the pin) about 2 years ago. An auto ecu was all that was available at the time locally.

I just got a spare 6MT ecu/key/NATS that I will have to throw in there one of these days.

So your ECU just quit on you or did you damage the actual pin on the ECU?

I am using a 6spd ECU right now and got my cruise working, which is nice. I am wanting to convert to a Z33 ECU in order to get the UpRev Osiris working for better tuning capabilities. The way I am thinking about doing it would eliminate cruise control and automatic cooling fan control. The fans will be easy to fix, but the cruise will probably be scrapped for life since I'm not willing to mess with the BCM from a Z or keep the 02 Maxima ECU and run it parallel to the Z ECU. I just want a simple Z ECU with Orisis.

No pin damage. It was internal to the ecu. I think it was related to the EMU problems I had. I had an EMU installed for a while and then one day I started frying my #2 coilpack (bulging out the side) I would get about 20 minutes of engine running time on a new coil before it would start misfiring. After the third coil went, I pulled the EMU and everything was good for several months. Then one day, no pulse signal for #2 at all. I threw an auto ecu in w/key & NATS and it has been good ever since (2 years now).

That sounds like an interesting project. I have not looked at a Z33 wiring diagram since I did my UTEC (a couple of years ago now) so I really do not have much insight into the cruise issue there.

I will probable be getting this here soon.... I just need to finalize a few things with what im doing. I have done quite a bit of research as far as the hybrid swap goes and non as for as the ECU swap goes. So now im attempting to find a write up for the full swap. If anyone has any direction for me I would greatly appreciate it.

Ok thanks. The closest thing you'll probably find to a full ECU write up is my swap thread. http://forums.maxima.org/all-motor/5...ss-thread.html

Also, search for threads started by eng92 and Jime. You'll find even more information. I also remember reading a good thread started by "made in china" I think that helped me with my swap.

I don't have any other parts for sale that I can think of. Let me know if you are interested in the parts for sale in this thread. They are still available.

I'm sorry. I have to keep the ECU, NATS, and key together since they came out of the same car. They must match up or the car won't start without a NATS reprogram from the dealership.

I don't have any other parts. What pieces do you need to complete your swap? Do you already have all the parts I have for sale?
