VQ35 Pathfinder Engine Parts
'02 VQ35 Pathfinder Engine Parts & Intake Manifold
Got a disassembled '02 VQ35 Pathfinder engine that im in need of getting rid of. I have most of the major engine parts available for sale.

I have the cylinder heads, timing covers, chains, sprokets, upper, middle, and lower intake manifold as well. The only things that are not for sale are the throttle body and engine block.

Also have the crank, piston, and rods available for anyone that wants to try to make a VQ33 stroker.
Don't know what the pricing should be, but buyer pays shipping. Local pickup get first dibs as well.

Anyways I will part with everything you listed for $200 + shipping.
Well I planned on using Pathy heads on a 3.5 block so that's no issue. The only thing that really worries me about all this is the mods needed to be made to the outer cover to accomodate the belt tensioner and the power steering bracket on the inner cover. And from looking at the pathy heads they don't have VTC solenoids on them. Is it an on/off type of thing VE style or PWM like the 3rd gen motors?
And the pathy heads must have the same combustion chamber CC as 3.0's since they both have flat top pistons and 10:1 compression (unless the deck clearance is different, which I doubt). Why couldn't you use them on your 3.0 block?
With that said I think I'm gonna scrap the VTC idea lol. I think I can reach my goal without it. How much for just the heads?

I believe these solenoids are PWM they look very similar to VQ35 Maxima ones.
Pathy pistons are flat top, but VQ30 ones have a slight dish. Both blocks have their pistons at zero deck clearance. So im not sure on the exact combustion chamber volume.
I don't see a need to run the Pathy heads on a VQ30 block, my build is going to be all VQ30.
If you still want the heads I will do $100 + shipping. You will need the bearing caps, but do you need the VTC solenoids or will you make cover plates for them?
@ the VQ30 piston dish. You have any up-close pictures of one? All the ones I've seen are from pretty far back. I really wish I knew the PF heads' chamber volume so I can determine the resulting C/R using Gen II 3.5 pistons.

Edit: What's the condition of the motor in general like? Any oil starvation issues? Anything approaching the wear limit? I know I'm just getting the heads but wondering if the cam bearing surfaces and bucket shims are ok.

In the next few days hopefully. I wonder if VQ30 cam caps are compatible with these heads...hmmmm

Yeah I will dig up a VQ30 piston sometime and post a photo. It has a very slight dish from what I remember.
I would highly recomend you run these cam caps. When the heads are machined the caps are bolted to the heads and then they are drilled for the cams. Nissan VQs are very tight tolerance but that is why they don't sell the cam caps as individual parts, they only work for the heads they are machined with.
I checked out the heads they definitely need a clean up. Don't think the motor was in the best shape there is a bit of sludge build up. There is some wear but I dont think its unusual for an engine of this mileage. Anyways let me know.
