I got some custom auto dimming rear view mirrors with built in voltage meters. I can do Red/Blue/Green voltage meters. Below are pictures what they look like. I'm just looking for $50. I do also have these mirrors with COMPASS only for $40 and I think one or two with the COMPASS/TEMPERATURE display (those would come with the sensor of course) for $60.

Installing is as easy as hooking up Positive and Negative wire. Also fits right on cars with OE windshield mounted rear view mirrors, but I will include the button that goes on the windshield just in case so you have it. If your mirror attached to the root mount, you may have to do some modding to swap that arm to these because they have the arms that are meant to connect to the windshield like most cars do. If yours already connected on to the windshield though, in most cases you can reuse the same mount.
can you find a way to integrate the compass as well and the volt meter?? toggle them somehow?
Well what I do is use my own meter and its just digital numbers. The compass display has the letters for the direction and the mirrors have to have a sensor for the compass to read from and calibrate with. Short answer is no, however if you are interested in the compass I do have one mirror here that is a dual display (shows both values at the same time) compass and temperature. It would obviously come with the temperature sensor, however these mirrors do not have map lighting on the bottom of them. I'd still be willing to that one $70+ship like the other ones. You just mount the sensor like behind the front grille and connect two wires to the pigtail on the mirror. Compass is built in sensor and all. Let me know what you think. It looks similar to the mirrors in the 2 bottom pictures, only the display is slightly bigger to show both values at the same time as I mentioned.
Lets see...regarding the dual display unit you have for temp and compass...i could care less for temperature actually.
Can you "do what you do" to get voltmeter in place of temp...and keep the compass as is? Pull the temp display and guts aside and install voltmeter. Let me know
That's funny most people say the opposite wanting the temp more. The temp and compass share the same display but the volt meter is only just that. So to answer the question compass and temperature are only together and volt by itself. Right now I can only do a red or blue volt meter if that's the way you wanna go...
What does the compass do exactly? Do you have any with just compass in blue?
The compass does exactly what you'd imagine. Tells you which direction you are traveling lol. Compass only comes in the greenish aqua color you see in the 3rd picture. They all have the auto dimming feature as well.
