I've had mine sitting in my garage for 2 months now. I should install those.

Having ridden in cars with PU bushings though, yes there I'd say there is a significant increase in suspension feel.

BTW does anyone know if there are DIFFERENT ES Bushing sets for control arms and sway bar endlinks? My set is for the control arms, but I think I've heard of people buying sway bar endlink sets.

Neo,

Do you have those big ones, or the small ring type ones? I'm not sure, but I replaced every part that ES offered, and it made my ride very stiff and jagged without much increase in handling. I know now that you should replace only one of the kinds, and not all of them (like I did).

I'm thinking that you should replace the swaybar endlink bushings.

From my understanding (and correct me if I'm wrong)

You can get Polyurethane parts for:
- The Control Arms
- The Front Sway Bar, main bushings (2 of them)
- Front Sway Bar End Link (4 of them)

You can get them through Courtesy Nissan, which also has additional discounts for Maxima.org members, just call and ask.

Ok, I have a better feeling that you shouldn't get the control arm bushings. It won't do too much for handling, while the sway bar bushings will. I have both, and the ride is too stiff

ES does offer the bushings for:
- The Control Arms (2)
- The Front Sway Bar, main bushings (2)
- Front Sway Bar End Link (4 of them)
I have the endlink bushings on my car, and I hvae the FSB bushings sitting in my room. The control arm bushings are the hardest to get off, and sometimes have to be torched off from what I've heard. They are the ones that make the ride stiff as well.

When I purchased mine, I was under the impression that there was only one set of ES bushings available. Looks like I was wrong. I have the big control arm bushings. Looks like I purchased the wrong ones as far as handling is concerned. Dang.

don't be disappointed. The only thing is, the endlinks are just a bit better and more effective. The ones you have might just make the ride stiffer.

Will you decide to install them? If you decide not to, you won't have to go through the hassle of torching those things off.

Control arm bushings

I'm gonna revive this old thread bout the control arm poly bushings.

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....0&pagenumber=2

3-4 people said it helped handling but nobody mentioned harshness or ride. Maybe they were all in new mod bliss at post time

on a slightly different point...what would SQUEAK over bumps in the rear? With all new OEM bushings.......just wanna get people's ideas on this one.

Poly parts will make your car noisy as hell, and stiff, but they last a long time, and they give more feel.
