Finally got car fixed and ordered new MOD while I was at it....

Well after having the car down for about 3 months with an illness that no one was able to fix, my friend at a speedshop finally found the problem. I had a blown intake manifold, two wires broke on the TPS, and the engine ground wires were loose so the engine was not getting a good ground. So I now have my car back and so far so good ( knock on wood ). And while I was at the shop I went ahead and ordered the supercharger that I have been wanting for some time, it is getting polished right now and then I am going to be getting it installed -- can't wait to be boost'in!!!!

ATTN KEV: Be ready for some emails- lol !!!

You cracked the intake manifold? Isn't it some sort of plastic composite material.

Air compressor is going where the battery is and the battery is going to the trunk. Also I am switching over to Nitrogen for the suspension so the compressor will only be for back up.

Tony-- I did a double whammy, I cracked the intake manifold and blew the gasket. I cracked the manifold when I was reinstalling the bolts that hold it on after I had them chrome plated--too much torque!! I ended up blowing the gasket about a week later when I was trying to figure out the problem, and I had the leak from the small crack and I floored the car and all of a sudden it just let out a big gasp of air and I had no throttle action.

And well to top it all guys I was driving around today and as soon as I got home I parked and one of my valves for the suspension got stuck in the open position and I can't let the car up, so tomorrow it is back to work. If it is not one thing it is another. Oh well I guess that is the consequence when you start messing with a perfectly good car!

That seems like a good switch-a-roo.. I bet the Nitrogen is going to cost a hell of a lot more to maintain!!! Does it help with the speed of the bags with the Nitrogen..?

wow, it seems like all the nice show car maximas are having some troubles lately. I guess your right about the messing with a perfectly good car..

Blake, who's going to do the SC install, you or someone else? If you're paying someone to do it, let me know how much. Thanks.

I am going to let CD Motorsports in Gulfport, MS do the install. I don't know exactly what the total is going to be so try to remind me whenever I post that I got it installed, and I will try to rememnber. He said that it should only take him like 6 hours and he charges like 45 an hour so that is like only 270. But I am also going to be getting a fuel pump and gauges and other things done at the same time. So I am not sure what it will cost yet!

$45 an hour labor rate is a awesome deal. The shops around here charge anywhere from $55 to $85 for custom work.
