Are you sure all VG's have timing BELTS?
Are you sure all VG's have timing BELTS?
I need an answer fast. I remember reading a post that said some VG's have timing chains. A friend just got a 89 SE, and the onwer said it has a timing chain, but i'm not too sure if he was right.

Chris didn't search.

brubenstein gets the credit for reminding me that some late 94 Maximas had a "longer-life" belt or chain, and the VG went to a non-interference engine, and thereby ruining it to some degree:

The one who posted in the 3rd gen forum was my brother ArcticMax, using my computer. This is the real Hokiemax here. I appreciate, and I really DO appreciate y'all responding within minutes. I love that! But see, some of late model 94's do have timing chains. Now its time to break the heartbreaking news to my friend. I told him there is a 1% chance that his car might have a chain.
