I came to these boards 2 months before I even had a MAX. Just searche for Maxima on google and this was the first site. I didn't sisgn up then cause I wasn't sure if I would be a max owner. After visiting the site for a month I knew I had to have a Maxima. Next day I found one '95 SE, 5spd, Green, every option listed in the Tribune. Called the dealer asked about it and they said someone working for them was driving it. Waited a week, then 2 and just said **** it. Bought a '96 SE, auto, black on black, all options and am very happy.

Well guess what? The dealer calls me yesterday and tells me the'95 5spd is available. Was I ****ed, the milage is still the same it was in April. He asked me if I wanted to come and see it, I told " **** off, but I got another one from a dealer that sells cars he has in stock moron".

Sorry for this pointless crap but I was just so ****ed, how can u run a business like that???

Had been looking to buy a Maxima and typed Maxima in Google. I am amazed at how much information I've gotten on this site and how much entertainment along with it. There are a lot of good people attached to the org.

Well it was starting to look like that Black 96 SE was gonna be mine in about 3 weeks so I decided to search for Maxima information, well before I tried a search engine I typed in this:

Maxima.com - appears to be a branch of the Hong Kong Shanghai Bank, hey in less than a week I am going to Hong Kong!

Maxima.net - a tour service

Maxima.org - and then I hit pay dirt! Or pay net, or whatever. Anyway I love this car and this site!

well my parents had snuck away and none of us (kids) knew where theyre were, except my little stepsister but she promised my mom she wouldnt say anything. anyway, it took us a long time to figure out that they had even left and when we did we were mad that we didnt know where they were (my sister and i were trying to find stuff that my mom rearranged, might have even been fireworks no it wasnt anywhere close to the 4th). anyway, my sister started thinking and she said they went to get a car, i was like no way but it was possiable. anyway, they came back about 15mins later with the maxima and boy did it look clean as hell, i wasnt expecting anything close in quality as it (note i hadden even started it up yet), it reminded me of my dads old 92 accord, the climate controls that is). anyway it was (still is) sooo clean, first impression was damn they must have spent alot (like $8000 or so, but they didnt). They said I couldnt drive it yet because the my name wasnt on the insurance yet, talk about anticipation.

anyway for the answer to the question, as soon as i got back inside the house i started searching for info on it, after a few crappy sites, i finally found this and maximaforum and nissanx. i stuck with the org because there was a lot more info here and a pretty fun group of people. i spent a very long time reading through a ton of posts just to learn all about the maxima, and i hadnt even heard it run yet!!! five or so days later i finally got to drive it, and my mom yelling at me every second of the drive "slow down" "damnit shawn" "knock it off" "your wasting gas" blah blah blah.

later

I was looking for information on my wife's Altima when I came across a forum board for the Altima. Because of the wealth of information I learned I started looking for a forum on the Max.

I bought my Max and a guy at work thought it funny to post a whole slew of links on how Maxima's suck. He later said, "ah, I'm just jealous". One of the links was on here about how Nissan paint sucks.

back in the days before the .org was this big, i found the link from a web site that andy b. had (it may still be up); it was the first modded max i had ever seen. he came by here a few weeks back when someone mentioned that he had won a x-cross comp. w/ his supra. eventually i found my way here through links.

I was on this site for months before I got my Maxima, however I still knew I was going to get one. I, like so many others, found out on Yahoo and I've been here since.
