VLSD Info Please..... Manual Trannys
V Limited Slip Differential or whatever. I heard that LOCKED Differential is the best.
What exactly does this do etc? I have heard from some people that it is not good for racing applications due to loss of torque or something. Also you cant just dump the clutch because it will stall? Im not sure. Please give me some info. I just found one near me, I didnt know they had any 5 speeds in the I30. I just bought my 97 max SE and am wishing i got an infinit I30 with the VLSD.
Please hook me up with INFO!!! =P
THANKS!

You do NOT want a 100% locked differential. Why?? Consider when you make a turn. The outside wheel is turning a larger radius turn than the inside wheel. This means one wheel is turning a different speed than the other wheel. So if you have a fully locked differential, you will force BOTH wheels to turn the same speed. This is very hard on the tranny and drivetrain. Locked diffs are okay for Drag Racing in a straight line and in some racing conditions but again is REALLY hard on the drivetrain.
