My wife is going through the same thing, my buddy too. Finals do suck, especially for those around you who have to suffer while your all stressed out! j/k Go for a drive, and come back refreshed.

Amen to this thread.... there's always that feeling when you're done though, that you can sit back and relax.

...for about 4 weeks =).

Don't you love college?

Freakin' lemming of a prof

This is the first teching job for my digital imaging teacher . And everything the other prof does, she wants to do also. At the beginning of the semester, she handed out an outline and said our final project was to create a "calendar of the future".

And now, the other digital imaging teacher wants his students to create a mixed media piece: Photoshopped images mounted on other media.

And so now, my teacher's like, "Oh, oh... me too, me too!" And so we have friggin' two weeks to come up with some big three-dimensional physical piece... stupid friggin...

On top of that, I gotta go to a musuem and draw three statues for my figure drawing class, and a flash animation for my advanced web design class.

Final blow... yes... they do.

Ahhh, I'm on the homestretch here.. 3 finals down, 2 to go.

circuits lab should be easy, and Java2 class will be so hard I may not be able to sleep through class and get an A on the exam this time..

hehe

Wow, I thought I had it bad, then I started reading some of you guys' exams. Only really heavy thing I've had to do was a design final in AutoCAD, mapping the local airport with obstruction lines and such. I guess Civil Eng is a bit easier than EE though =).

Good luck!

Exams start Friday for me and I haven't gotten myself to sit down and study yet =( I gotta start working on a final project for Biology tonight and then start studying for my Calculus final... ohhhhhh man I hate Calculus so bad. Of course, being a computer science major I only have to take like 4 MORE MATH CLASSES!!! ARGH!!!

Ahh well, I'll be crazier as friday approaches. lol.

Hey Chebosto, like you, I'm an EE major also but I'm a freshmen so that means I haven't gotten my *** kicked by those hard classes yet. I need you to give me an insight on how badly my *** will be kicked as my college career goes further.

Yeah, there seem to be a bunch of EE students here. So, you are studying transmission lines....I remember that course. I am getting my masters in ee this semester and I have an exam in this computer architecture course. Once that is over, all thats left is graduation

Working on my final project

It's this object-oriented jungle simulation, in C++. Various critters (pink elephants, lemmings, sand sharks, etc.), a hunter, a George of the Jungle who periodically swings into trees, and two amazon women for George. (That last part really is part of the problem spec- I didn't make it up.) In addition to these critters fighting, they love to screw, making even more critters to keep track of. Argh...

Done...at last!

Six finals later, I emgerge barely alive and barely awake. Only kept awake by the Folgers aroma. My next journey will take me on an 11 and a half hour plane ride back home. Although I'm not an engineering student like most of you, my roommate is and he says it's tough. Man, I give you guys credit. To make things worse, my Organic Chem final was worth 60% of my grade....insane isn't it. I just wanted to wish you guys luck, and I'm there in the same boat! Take it easy and good luck!

Organic Chem is insane, I've seen many friends take it and fall by the wayside... out of 150 who start a class here maybe 30 pass on average.

I'll stick to engineering thank you very much =).

Tell me about it. Even a friend of mine who is in the Honors 6 year Med program is struggling, and has to repeat it. It's a tough course. Too much to remember. Weasel, do you go to Univ of Florida? or just have the sticker?

I never thought organic chemistry was that bad. Maybe it's just easy here at Georgia Tech. What is bad is taking senior Chemical engineering classes. Took my Reactor design final yesterday, have plant design one tomorrow, and on thursday I have Statics. Too bad I hate the major and don't want to be a chemical engineer, oh well it's too late to change now.

Yup, sure do. Governor Jeb Bush has been kind enough to pay me to mooch off the educational system and do next to nothing. That was true a year ago, college is hard now...

Ok, what is the stupidist final you have ever had, in terms of what you were tested on vs. what you should know. I had a introduction to engineering class where every answer was between 1 and 10 and we just had to circle the correct answer. I don't know about you all, but this is something where I think technique is more important than a correct answer. BTW, this professor really sucks and I made sure to comment on this matter when it was review time.

Any final I have ever had in a non-engineering/math/science course would qualify as pretty lame. Those english class finals especially suck. They are way too subjective.

Technical Writing. This is the worst class I've ever taken (twice)... I get above a 3.0 in all my engineering classes but Technical Writing just kills me. For those who don't know, Tech Writing is basically how to write instruction manuals and internal memos. Any emotion or slight grammar error = failure on your paper.
