I need help hooking up an amp to my factory head unit.

I am trying to hook up an Alpine V12 to my non-Bose factory head unit in my 2k2. I purschased a noise level controller and had tapped the wires into the rear speakers. However the amp does not power on. The power source is certainly wired correctly and I'm thinking it's got to be the speaker wiring that is the problem. I checked all fuses and they are good. Please help!!

I did not connect the remote wire.

I didn't think that the factory unit had a remote wire. If they do which one is it?
