hi guys, i'll be on x mas break from 12/16-> 1/5/01.... meaning i can't get any more spare ecus until i get home from vacation..

as from the latest word with robert at uprd, the main programmer is on a business trip to the east coast this week and will be back next week.

i'm getting ecus for those with 97 maximas and those who wish to have a separate ecu, but i'm letting you know now that i might be pricey. my nissan supplier has told me there is a shortage of ecus and that might drive the price up a bit.. but no worries. i'll get enough for everyone.

ordering will go like: fedex ur ecu to uprd. they mod it. they fed ex it back. turn around should be only 2 days.

this mod will work for 95/96/97 maximas only. sorry 98/99/00/01 guys. for 97 maximas, a rear o2 sensor MIL might come up, but we're working on a solution for it...

price right now is like ~$475 + shipping (with 20 people COMMITTED, else it's like $500+. right now we have 18 committed.)

please no emails about "oh i'll get in when we get more people commit." it's more like commit now, or dont get in.. i'm not trying to sound harsh but that's why we cant hit the target of 25+ people. we need people that will commmit and say "yes. i want more power! yes! want to blow the doors off a 330 BMW ci! Yes i want average of 15 hp power gain in the midrange!"

got an SC? no problem. custom tuning available for 95/96 SC'd maxs and we're looking to see if it'll work on a 97 SC with a 96 Ecu.... so. please. interested? for real? then order.

If it was available for the 5gen's and made the same gains, I'd plunk down 5 bills right now. I'm sure this has been asked before but is there a light at the end of the tunnel? Any hope for us recent Max owners for the near future?

I am the number one advertiser for Cheston and the UPRD ECU deal,(I think). So I feel I must get another plug in. I am about to be leaving for my Christmas break and will be getting my ECU as soon as I return. I have been there from the beginning and have seen people ask lots of questions and act really interested. I have refereed dozens of people to Cheston's homepage to get info on the UPRD ECU. I want the $425 price so now is the time to belly up to the table. I live in TN and will be getting the ECU early Jan., so if anyone lives close and would like to see first hand gains I will meet you somewhere. For all those that want more power, join, join, join. For all those that are just waiting and watching, then you will be left out and this deal will pass you by, while we are smerking with our extra HP for a group deal price.

Thanks, but I am not sure if my efforts have done anything. Cheston says we are close to the 25 mark, but he didn't say how close. Still have more work to do.

How come 95-97 guys can't have this kind of attitude?? I guess you want what you can't have....

As soon as he develops and ECU for my 98 i'm in too. A question, what exactly is keeping them from producing an upgrade for late 4th gen? I know 5th gen is completely different ECU but what am I missing on the late 4th gen ECUs??

I believe 98+ Maximas have a hard code to break, that is different from the 95-97.
