LEDs for brake lights (look)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1847189503

how good would those look in the back of a 3rd gen...non-clear lenses. i know that these leds are much brighter than normal 1156 and 1157 bulbs, but in that ebay pic above, they're shown in a clear brakelight lense, obviously making them appear brighter than they would in a normal plastic red light lense. anyone know how these would look?

You get what you pay for!

Cheap LEDs suck. I currently own 1157/1156 from several sources and they are worthless. The real LED replacements cost over $50 or more for each.
You need bright white LEDs if your are using colored lenses.
For side markers/dash/interior bulbs, use whatever you want if there are no issues with the POlice. I kept the 194s in my bumpers but removed the cheap LEDs form the brake/turnsignals/.... I am not in the mood to spend $100's on decent LED brake lights.

Real LEDS:

These are the ones to avoid(apc(american products company)/matrix(gr motorsport)/jamstrait... But I use the 194s(side/dash/interior).......just not the brake/turn bulbs anymore.

That's good info. Sure, we all want led's and xenons like a Benz S-Class. But to spend money and give the Max a cheaper look, that's such a waste. Look at what has been done due to trends--clear tails and turns, where are they now? Nobody talks about it because it's standard fare on Kia's. How much time wasted on 9004 bulbs, and money, just to have poor lighting and annoy othet drivers? Better to work up the corporate ladder and earn the money for quality.
