Tinting Sunroof

I just got my windows tinted, but the guys would not let me tint my sunroof. They gave me some kind of explanation of how it could crack or shatter because of the sun shining down on it. Is this accurate or should I just find some other place to tint my sunroof?

I tinted mine with 15% reflecto tint. Go to another shop. Office buildings and other places tint their skylights all the time.

f the sunlight were enough to heat up glass to the point of fracture >>

I'd be walking around in a firesuit and welding mask all day.

Don't sweat it, go to another tint shop and get it done for $15.

Yup that's some BS. Tinting the sunroof should be no different than tinting any of the other windows. $20 should cover it.
