I30 Project Update

Hi guys,

I just got back from vacation and went to Asian Imports to check out my car.
The engine, tranny, and axles are reinstalled! We still have a few things left to do but nothing major.
There is a minor problem though, I sent my ECU to JWT almost 2 months ago to be reprogrammed but they're so busy during racing season I'm still waiting. Finally, they promised to send it back this week. I can't wait to fire up this baby and see what it will do!! I'll keep you posted. I'm sure we'll be seeing 450 HP at the crank. This will satisfy me??

Oh, by the way. JWT told me when I bring in the car for fine tuning, they can get up to 450 hp with 370 injectors. they said they have their tricks. We'll see.

No problem Randall, I plan to bring the car up to burbank in sept.!!
Anyone else wanting to see the car is welcome. Please contact me, maybe we'll have a mini meet. I can't make a definite date yet because it's tough pinning down JWT.
When I do find out we'll make a definite date to meet at the Holiday Inn, Burbank.
Anyone interested, please let me know.

I forgot, is your car an auto or 5spd? IIRC, your is an auto right? Must have done a lot to beef up the tranny if it's an auto.

Yes I did have a few things done at NRH Tranny in Jessup MD. The owner Rob is a great guy and extremely knowledgeable about our transmissions: Heavy duty reverse reaction drum assembly, interwoven master clutch set, , new seals, harden steel differential carrier pins, kolene steel limited slip plates, new bushings, extreme duty 3/4 clutch set, hardened input shaft, rebalance TQ. This is on top of the level 10 upgrade of 2 years ago. I also sent in the axles and they rebuilt them using alloy half shafts (190,000 lbs/square" shear strength. So, as you can see, Iv'e done my best to keep the drive train from failing, time will tell!
