i know something bad happens when you stall to much but i don't know what happens. can some one tell me what i'm going to damage if i stall my car to much?

and can i do damage if the rpms are too low?
example, sometimes in traffic when i'm board i press the brakes and let off the clutch so it idles at 500rpms sometimes alittle less. i don't stall it but i let it shack.

another question(last one), can you damage your tranny if you skip gears?
example, you go from 1st gear, to 2nd, to 3rd, then you skip 4th and go to 5th.

I don't think you can really damage your engine from letting it idle too low. The ECU automatically adjusts the idle, so it never drops that low. If it falls to low, your engine stalls, and well, then I guess you wear out your starter by restarting your car all the time.

As for skipping gears, there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, I think some Camaros and Firebirds require a 1-4 shift (!) if you aren't going hard on the throttle.

The real question is...

why are you stalling so much?
