Wood

Hey guys, my old wood dash kit is starting to bubble on me, so it looks like I'm going to need a new one. What kit do you recommend? I've heard the Joshua Tree ones are good?? Oh, and how hard is the install? Thanks!

Thanks I'll check it out Bill, also, my exhaust is kinda "swinging" around on bumps and turns, any good ways to get it to stay still and tight?

Get those rubber hangers checked/replaced.

Ditto, I think there are some more sturdy ones out there too!

My aftermarket wood dash started bubbling after 8 months. I cannot recall the company. I replaced it with the Joshua Tree wood dash and after 2 years it looks perfect.

Was yours genuine Nissan or aftermarket? Oddly enough, on mine, it came with the car, and I understand it was installed at the "port" of entry. Anyway, the only 2 pieces that bubbled were the ones that were replaced under warranty. The originals did not. The only reason I had the originals replaced under warranty was that they became unglued.

Anyway, I peedled the plastic off and now that it's not humid, it doesn't look as bad. but obviously when you touch it you realize it's thinner, and plus a piece of the corner came off.

I was thinking about going to home depot and looking at the stuff that's used for cabinet refacing. You can either get real wood, or even self adhesive wood. As long as it costs under $20 I'll do it. Otherwise, f*** this Nissan. I was talking to this new chick tonight about cars, and she said why get an A4, why don't you get a TT before you get too serious and have kids? She has a 325 and she said the TT is way better looking. It's just interesting to see it from a woman's perspective. The way things look and feel mean alot. That would mean Maxima is OUT! Because all you can do is keep saying 255, 255, 255, 255. looks like **** and road feel is like being on anesthesia.
