Anyone made the OEM trunk pop work on their GXE?

Like the subject says, has anyone successfully installed the OEM trunk pop on a GXE or car not originally equipped with one? I have the switch, actually 2 of them cause I thought the first one was bad, and the OEM actuator, but it still does not work. Anyone make this work, I am usually pretty good at figuring these things out, but from all the wiring diagrams I have looked it, it should work... Yes I did add the fuse as well, all the harnesses are plugged in...etc.. Can someone help me please?

Are you looking to install an electric one? What's wrong with the manual one (assuming all GXE's come with a manual trunk pop)?

I added a cheap aftermarket trunk release to my stripped SE. I didn't try to hook up a button since the cable still works. It works great with my remote. If the cable still works maybe you could just tie your alarm into the activation wire, with a relay of course. I belive it activates by grounding.
