would you feel comfortable honking to saw what's up even if you didn't know the person???
Would you feel weird if somone honked at you to say whats up? We all seem pretty friendly here and I assume the moderators do background checks to get rid of the psychos Then again maybe some of you slipped through.
I ask because we all seem really comfortable chatting away on the net, but would you feel the same if you saw someone on the street. Just wondering.
I live in Southern Cal, and since we're home to the most modded cars on the planet (SO CAL REGIONAL FORUM hint hint)I figure there's a good chance I'll run into some of you guys

i'd definately say what's up or honk. everytime i see a hooked up max, i try to wave or give them the nod...on occasion you run into the weirdos who ignore you or look at you like you're a jerk....but i still try to be nice.

Yeah, I'd have no problem waving or something. But I don't have any .org stickers on the outside of my car, so he would probably just think that I'm a dork.

I'm with darksands though it is a sign of offense. If might also think you were trying to race them of something, which not all people like.

I usually just wave. I've gotten to the point where I notice all Max's but I generally only wave at drivers with mods like clear corners. Most people here have them and they're easy to spot.
I do strike up a conversation about The Maxima, if for example, I see someone walking up to their Max in a parking lot. I met someone from here that way.

I dont think I've seen anyone with .Org stickers here (Dallas).
However, I do pretty often run into 4th gens with i/h/e. I hate to say but they're usually ****** and are all F&F on the highway tailgating me and crap. That really really gets on my nerves. Hope it's none of you guys.
I saw a pretty nice modded VE at a mall here a week or two ago. I'd never ever seen a nice modded VE aside from mine (I've got two!) anywhere in Dallas. Charcoal, nice 17" rims, lowered (Intrax or Sprint), GReddy (with the can powder coated black), sounded like he had an intake. It was some Asian dudes who were pulling up right as I was getting out of my car (the 5spd, not the auto). They kinda tried to stare me and my friend down, which was like, un-called for. I had a nice chuckle when I looked inside their car and saw it was an auto.

These .Org stickers are kind of weak, as in they don't seem to be very stuck to the windows. When I'm wiping my car with a terry towel sometimes the stickers become loose, like the "X" in Maxima. The edges of the "X" start coming off. Man...I hope they don't come off when I have to wash my car. That would...suck. I smacked the stickers on good too. Oh well, we'll see I guess.

A week or so ago I saw a sweet white 96ish GXE at a light, it was white and lowered. It looked like it had Maxima.org stickers in the windows! I live in a small city, and there are few modded Maximas and i30s. Anyway, I pulled off and waited for the car to come by. I was in my Expy, not my i30, and my Ex is kindof an intimidating vehicle! It pulled into a parking lot shortly thereafter and I stopped to chat with the owner. Imagine my surprise when I found that it was a girl driving it! A girl with tuned max! In my little town! Well, I chatted with her and she was very cool! I made sure to tell her quickly that my WIFE would be proud of her so that she knew that I was not picking up on here. The window stickers were custommaxima.com stickers, and she had never heard of the .org. I encouraged her to join! She had the new 18" Centerline forged wheels that weigh like 14lbs! A girl!

Heck yeah, I'm not shy
Of course I'd try to wave/smile/chat with that person. I just put my silver .Org stickers on today (pics to follow ), so hope to be spotted by my fellow .orgers.
I've chatted with three guys in the Ottawa region now with Maximas... Tri-lite, and two others who weren't on the net. I mentioned our hallowed meeting grounds however, so they may join.

oh, totally
i've always done the "nice car" nod-and-smile to other drivers, some of whom wave back cheerfully, some look confused and drive away quickly, and a few misunderstand and flip me off. but i keep doing it, for the first group. actually, although i doubt they realize it, i give other max drivers carte blanche in traffic (wanna merge? no prob! turning left? i'll stop and wait for ya!) just cause i'm weird like that.
maybe an electronic device like was released in japan a couple years ago, a little keychain gismo that you program your interests and likes/dislikes, etc. into and it goes nuts when someone else that matches you is in the vicinity. maxima radar?

well just yesterday I saw a new white max '96 with 17's washing his car in the complex I live in. I live across from the car wash area - parked my car and I went to him and introduced myself and told him about the .org. he said he didnt know anything about it and that he would try to get online to see it...
So now we may have another max at our meetings in the Tampa/Orlando area...

When they did my background check , they looked to see if I ever owned a Honda. I almost got booted because I used to have an Acura

I like the bus. card idea too. If you see a modded .Org Maxima, leave a card or something on the window with your .Org id name, and write "tag you're it" on it. Now they have to try and find your car another day, or pass a note to another .Org Maxima they see somewhere.
