new computer and gauges

Okay, this is what I'm looking for. Instead of having a limitation to which gauges you have, is there a universal computer that can display Air/Fuel mixture, oil pressure, water temp, boost, exhaust temp, etc? To have one LED display and have the computer either under the seat or in the glovebox. If anyone has seen one a unit like this, please let me know. I've searched a few websites and no one that I've found sells anything like that.
I guess I can always use my old P150 laptop, but then there is the question of software and sending units. I really want something I can see when I'm driving and or racing. I don't want to have 3 to 5 differnt gauges cluttering up my view. Someone out there has to make something like this... please let me know.
Thanks.

Do a search on Google or some search engine for an HKS CAMP. I think this is similar to what you are looking for. You can sometimes find them on Ebay. You might need the Junction Box to go with it. I'm not quite sure I that one.

Wow..

If anyone gets this to work PLEASE let me know.

It will be awhile before I get a Video head unit, but I've definitely been looking for something like this instead of 5-6 gauges.

asides from the ebay auction i seen em' go for 280 for just the camp unit. adn then u hafta get the junction box if you want to use aditional sensors ie. egt, boost, water temp.. and that box runs around 300bux plus you hafta buy the plug in sensors which are about 140 for boost and around 160 for egt and then 20 dollars for the harness for the two of those. but i think it's still a lil cheaper than buying apex'i gauges.

i haven't installed this particular unit before, however i've installed numerous v-afc s-afc and avc-r along with turbo timers and alarms. if you can install the dvd player and stuff i don't think this would be a challenge for you, but then again that's just my opinion. i plan to get the camp system soon.. however i saw on a website that the junction box is discontinued, i'm not sure if it's true tho..

Where did you get the $1K price? That's not bad, but I don't see it.

Also, anybody have an idea on how the HKS sensors play into this? Are they separate items you have to buy? Any prices?

if u add up the prices given by mingo... above.. it comes out to be around 1k w/o the tv monitor that is...

Oops, guess I missed that.

Now I'm wondering about the accuracy and data update rate. This could be VERY nice, but if doesn't react fast enough to sensor changes then it isn't going to do me any good.

That and the fact that you can probably customize it to show "red zones" or warnings. Plus, it will at least have an adjustable range, so you can zoom in ONLY on the important part of the range you need to monitor.

But it's a lot cheaper especially if you don't have a video system in your car.

Umm... you're asking the wrong person. Ask the seller. 97MaxGurl seems to like it and she said it does a lot of stuff.
