Chrome Exhaust Tips

Are there any problems out there associated with the addition of a chrome exhaust tip? Basically, should there be room for concern that your OM muffler may fall off or begin to drop due to the weight of the tip. Do these tips cause your original tailpipe to bend downward because of the weight, gravity, etc.

I just wanted to weigh the pros and cons of adding something to my car just for appearance. I know you can get a nice size chrome tip anywhere from 35 to 50 bucks, but is it really worth it if you have to replace your whole muffler and/or replace by welding, a new tailpipe on?

Note: My original factory muffler and pipes are in excellent condition. Just 3 years old.

Thanks..

Don't worry, it won't sag, unless it weighs 50 pounds.

I have one that feels like it weighs 10 pounds, and it's been welded on for about a year and a half (through 2 winters). It's ok

Only drawback is that the carbon just makes it sooooo black that if you dont clean it regularly it will never come off.
