Made some friends in Japan....

Here's a relatively confusing link. but hey. check it out.. Cefiro Power.

Talkin' to this guy, who says modding the cefiro to look like the Maxima is the big deal and adding QX parts from europe is chic.

Their 5th gen rears look a lot better than ours. Guess they didn't have any Neons around to copy the rear from.

Wonder if it'd be possible to get a Japanese-spec 5th gen rear end on our cars? Is there such a thing as a 5th gen Maxima in Japan or do they still look more like the 4th gen?

Well, check out the pic of the second 00 under "my car". The front looks more rounded like on 5th gens Maximas, but the back looks more squarish like on 4th gens. I think the Infinitis are blockish on front and rear.

The 5th gen in Japan looks just like the new I30-I35. All the pics on that site where of a 4th gen. In 99 I beleive they changed over to the 5th gen I30(a year ahead of us).

You know whats funny? In 2000-2001 Japan's Cefiro used the 2002 I35's headlights and grill. Then in 2002 they used the I30's 2000-2001 grill and headlights. So in Japan the old look of the 2000 I30 is the new look to them and vise versa, kinda funny..
