i've seen people posting things about an ecu. what is this? is it aftermarket or stock? and what does it do?

ECU = Engine control unit. All modern cars have them.

Cruise control, dude it's the capacitor inside the left nardo stick. If you look real close you will see it.

whats a left nardo stick?

i'm guessing its on the left but were? and i'm also guessing i have to chage this capacitor am i right?
