Any shop worth their oats will tell you to -->
get over it and just re-paint it red.....
It's just nearly impossible and major $$$ to strip everything off the car and re-paint EVERYTHING.
Do yourself a favor and paint it red.
I would say a good (i.e. prepped properly, etc.) paint job will run ya $2k to $2.5k.....
