loosen bolts/screws on the stock air box
loosen any hose clamps holding the box onto the mass air flow sensor

plug in new filter/adapter (and intake temp sensor if applicable)

I have a Ractive Super Flow Intake Cone Filter I got mine for $20.00 from a local shop and the adapter from lighningmotorsports.com for $25.00. I don't get it,to me filters are all the same you just end up paying for the name K&N,Stealin'etc, etc, they all do the same thing to me the one I have and the other one's I have seen that have the inverted cone have more surface area for air to flow in I am very satisfied wiht mine Ractive or any other brand just look at how it is made it is nice, unless you are embarrased by saying I have brand X filter instead of K&N or STILLEN..........$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
