Actually,

I got rid of a '98 M3 when I got my Maxima.

Having spent 3 years hanging out on BMW boards, I can assure the Maxima owners that their vehicle is well-respected by BMW owners. Many other brands (Mercedes, Audi, Volvo, Saab, Lexus, Acura, etc.) have real (and perceived) performance and handling deficiencies when compared to the equivalent BMW. Two cars that are well respected are the Miata and the Maxima. Although each of these also has deficiencies when compared to the closest BMW, the price savings ($15k for the Maxima, $20k for the Miata) make each of these highly respected in the "best-bang-for-the-buck" analyses...

NICE car Jordan. I was thinking about buying one, but haven't decided yet. I want a new M3 but I know that's not going to happen

Give em a break. He hasn't said anything bad about Maximas. He told the other jackass with the BMW to have an open mind. Thats good advice for everbody: Have an open mind. If your on this site and not starting sh*t then you probobly like maximas wheather you own one or not.

Oh dear lord.

You all need to start ignoring these trolls. Your responses waste more bandwidth than the original post.

Re: Actually,

I have to agree and disagree with what you say. I agree because the BMW M5 is the car of all cars. I also have to disagree because I have also seen the Mercedes E55, SL73, Lexus GS400, SC400, SC300 even (there's a TT SC300 that does 10.94 1/4mi) and Audi S4 (even though I'm not familiar with Audis so the S4 might be all magazine talk)

What Camry kid?? From what I've read, the members on the Camry board visiting here have been very polite and so have your Maxima owners that have visited the Camry board. I think we all realize that Nissan and Toyota are imports and Jap cars at that. The Max has an awesome V6 engine, but the Camry's V6 is up there too. The Camry's plusses are for its reliability and a huge plus is that its TRD s/c is warranteed by Toyota and does pack in quite a punch
