I'm probably going to clear my tails today, but I think I'm gonna do it without adding in the florescent light covers. Has anybody done this without the florescent light covers? I might put in a red LED bulb in place.

Do you have any pics? I think it would look awkward because it doesn't match.

i have that, it looks pretty cool

kind of like the euro clear clearance lights they have for hondas. the inside is silverish and matches my car(silver mist)pretty good. it definitely stands out. i didn't like the flourescent cover because it was a hassle to cut and just didn't look right to me. you also have to heat it up so that it bends to fit in the housing...PITA

be careful when clearing out your lights, i cracked the edge on one of the housing because i was tired and frustrated from messing with the flourescent cover. if you don't feel like doing it right then, just wait few hours or wait till the next day. believe me its better than a cracked lense.

good luck

I did the same thing I kept mine this way for about 3 months but it looked tacky so I redone it the RIGHT way and you should do the same.......RED/CLEAR. Check these............

Just take the time to do it the right way....it will look better...RED/CLEAR,I change mine to this.......

Well I cleared both the outer and the inner tails and I think it looks really sharp. I feel the florescent covers doesnt match the stock reverse diffusers, so either way you do it, florescent covers or no florescent covers, you should to all 4 tails, not just the 2 outer ones. Personally, I like the no covers look, as it resembles those see through cellular phones where you can see the guts of the unit at work :-)

Yup, the centers do the same steps as the outers. A little easier to do, less area to work with. No I dont feel it is being lazy at all, I prefer the look of the totally clear rear lenses.

florescent covers

When you talk about the florescent covers what do you mean? And exactly how do you clear out the tail lenses?
