Bought an Optima Battery

Finally bought a red top optima battery. It came with an additional base, so I had no problems with fitment. I wanted to remove the factory connectors and replace them with some nice bigger ones, but I was unable to remove the old ones. The wiring is embedded in the metal. Should I just force it out or is there a better way of removing. For now, I just used the stock ones with the optima so I can get around.
BTW, i paid $109.99 at Pep boys.

Nice choice in battery. I paid $20 more than you though.
