Lowering effects CV joints?
OK, just put Tokico/H&R setup on my car and now the passenger side, when turning at low speeds, is making that "bad CV joint" clunking sound. When I searched on this, most of the post were, "I lowered my car, now clunks when turning." Is this related, coincidental, or something elese? I am really in fear (money wise) of having to get them replaced -- I know it is expensive, but anyone know the price range? Thanks for any info...
I have the same setup as you and have the same noises. I havent heard that lower a car can be bad for the CV joints. I would assume that if you slamm the car then you would put stress on the joints. I wouldn't worry about it, i had my suspension on for over a year and nothing is wrong. I do know this, if you ever make a hard turn and floor the car while the wheel is cut, you run the risk of wripping the CV boot and possibly getting dirt in the joint and destroying it. my 2 cents!

I heard of this problem before...back when i had a Taurus SHO...i was informed not to lower it over 1.5" or the CV's would klunk and self destruct..i thought was just a ford thing but i guess not
I think theres more than a 1.5" leeway on a Max though.
